FAQ’s

Here is some general information about my tattoo process and booking.

Where are you based?

Im based in Naarm (Melbourne). I try to do semi-regular guest spots around Australia and I also travel to Europe for guest spots.

If you would like to be notified when I am visiting a particular city, you can email me with the city name as the subject line to join the waiting list.

Do you do custom designs?

Yes. I take on custom designs when the idea suits the way I work with imagery.

The best way to start is by sending reference images or sketches that show the direction you have in mind.

Please avoid sending photos of other artists’ tattoos as designs to copy. These images can still help show size or placement. I will not reproduce another artist’s work.

Do I have to book a flash design in advance?

No. You are welcome to choose on the day.

If you prefer to come prepared, you can take screenshots from my online flash book or from the saved Highlights on my Instagram.

Flash designs are repeatable, so I cannot hold or reserve designs in advance. Please see the disclaimer below for more information on repeating flash.

How do I book an appointment?

Once you submit the contact form I will reply to you with a link to my booking system.

You can select a date that works for you and pay the deposit through the booking site to confirm the appointment.

How much are your tattoos?

My minimum charge is $250 AUD. I price tattoos by piece rather than by hour, so the final cost depends on the size and placement.

Here is a general guide:

Small (A7): $250+
Palm size (A6): $350+
Hand size (A5): $500+
Large (A4): $800+
Half day / X-Large (A3): $1,200+
Full day / Full back piece: $2,000+

Half or full day sessions work well for one large tattoo or several smaller pieces in a single sitting.

When I do guest spots I usually book appointments in two hour time slots. This allows time for one larger tattoo or a few small to medium pieces. If you are thinking about a larger project, it is often best to book two consecutive appointments or the final appointment of the day.

These prices apply to Australia and may change during international guest spots.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. A $50 AUD deposit is required to secure an appointment. The deposit goes toward the final price of the tattoo.

Deposits are non refundable.

If you cancel, do not attend, or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited. If you need to reschedule with enough notice, the deposit can be transferred to a new date within a reasonable time frame.

Deposits are paid through the booking system once your appointment has been confirmed.

What if I want to talk about a design before booking?

If you would like to discuss an idea in person before committing, you are welcome to book a consultation.

We can meet in a neutral space to talk through your ideas and possible directions. There is no obligation to book a tattoo afterwards.

I am allergic to something used while tattooing. Should I let you know?

Yes. If you have allergies to materials commonly used in tattooing such as latex, vaseline, or certain chemicals, please let me know at least a week before your appointment. This gives me time to source suitable alternatives.

If you have other questions, feel free to include them in your contact form or send an email.

Disclaimer

Most images in my tattoo flash PDFs are drawn from found imagery sourced from public domain archives, historical material, and contemporary image sources.

My work draws on archive photography, medieval iconography, classical motifs, modernist design language, decorative arts, photography, readymades, collage, copying, repetition, distortion, sampling, and image degradation. The imagery is therefore derivative by nature. The selection, editing, and translation form the work.

I crop, skew, resize, compress, and recontextualise source images to establish a consistent tone. No proprietary image appears in full or unchanged form. Each image passes through this process and through the physical act of tattooing.

Nothing here claims ownership of any image. The focus is on interpretation, circulation, and transformation.

Designs may be repeated, edited, or resized.

If any material unintentionally infringes on the rights of another party, this is without intent. Any concerns can be directed via email for review and resolution.
